An agreement signing ceremony between Midland Bank Limited (MDB) and Bangladesh Election Commission (EC) was held on April 11, 2016 at the Office of EC, Dhaka.

Brigadier General Sultanuzzaman Md. Salehuddin, Director General, NID Registration Wings of Election Commission Secretariat presided over the ceremony as Chief Guest.

Md. Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director & CEO of MDB and Syed Mohammad Musa, Director (Operations), NID Registration Wings, Election Commission Secretariat signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

Under the agreement, Midland Bank will now verify its customer’s information using the database of EC.

Md. Elias Bhuiyan, Deputy Secretary & Deputy Project Director (Admn. & Finance), Md. Anwar Hossain, Director (Admn. & Finance) of EC and Mohammad Tariqul Amin, Vice President of MDB, were also present on the occasion along with other high officials of both the organizations.
