As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in education, Midland Bank Limited (MDB) donated BDT 1.50 Lac (Taka one lac fifty thousand) to Shishu Bikash Kandro, a School operated by ZONTA Club Dhaka III, located at Rayer Bazar, Dhaka. Mrs. Bilkis Bari, Head Mistress of the School along with Mrs. Reyhana Ashraf, President ZONTA Club Dhaka III received the cheque at a simple ceremony held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Bank’s Head Office in Gulshan, Dhaka.

Mr. M Moniruzzaman Khandaker, Chairman along with Mrs. Nilufer Zafarullah, M.P. Vice Chairman of the Bank handed over the Cheque. Mr. Md. Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director & CEO of the Bank was also present.

Shishu Bikash Kendra was established in the year 1989 with an aim to provide education facility for social and economic development of the unprivileged children and women. ZONTA International Club is a leading global organization of executives and professionals working together to empower women worldwide through service and advocacy. MDB provided financial assistance to the School in keeping with the Bank’s commitment towards improving education facility of the country under Corporate Social Responsibility Programme of the Bank.

Khondoker Nayeemul Kabir, Deputy Managing Director, Muhammad H Kafi, Chief Information Officer of Midland Bank and Mrs. Shahnaz Shahab, Treasurer of ZONTA Club Dhaka III were also present on the occasion among other members of both organizations.
