As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Midland Bank Limited (MDB) on Thursday, July 14, 2016 donated BDT 5.00 Lac (Taka Five Lac) to the Home Economics Association of Bangladesh (HEAB). President of HEAB, Ambassador Nasim Firdaus received the cheque at the Bank’s Head Office in Gulshan. The Bank has contributed this money to HEAB, which has been working for different activities for the improvement of the Home Economics education in the country.

Mr. M Moniruzzaman Khandaker, Chairman of the Bank handed over the Cheque along with Md. Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director & CEO of the Bank.

HEAB, an organization associated with the graduates of Home Economics, was formally inaugurated in August 2013, with a view to play an important role for the development of home economics education in the country. Midland Bank Limited provided financial assistance for bearing the cost of various activities done by HEAB, for the betterment and improvement of the Home Economics education from the CSR fund of the Bank.

Muhammad H Kafi, Chief Information Officer of Midland Bank and Prof. Fatima Suriya, General Secretary of HEAB was also present on the occasion among other members of both organization.
