Signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Midland Bank Limited (MDB) and Access to Information (a2i) was held today 30th July 2019 at the ICT Tower, Agargoan, Dhaka.

Mr. Md. Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director & CEO of Midland Bank Limited and Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan, Joint Secretary and Project Director of a2i Programme signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.

The purpose of this MOU is to facilitate electronic bill payment in ekPay platform (an integrated bill payment platform from Government of Bangladesh) through MDB alternative delivery channels available in the platform and also for using Union Digitial Center (UDC) for providing Agent Banking Service of MDB. ekPay, the internet based online service facilitate the Payee’s Consumer to pay their payables as Over the Counter (OTC) payment at any MDB Branch and Agent Banking Centre. Consumers will also have the option to pay through midland online which is MDB’s Internet Banking (IB) application and also using their Debit/Credit card.

Md. Ridwanul Hoque, EVP & Head of Retail Distributions, Nazmul Huda Sarkar, SVP & CTO of MDB and Torhurul Hasan, Programme Manager of a2i programme were also present on the occasion along with other officials of both the organizations.
