Midland Bank Held Virtual Discussion on the Life & Work of Bangabandhu following its 114th Board Meeting

Midland Bank organized a virtual discussion session on the life and work of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman following its 114th Board Meeting on 29th August 2021 marking National Mourning Day 2021.

The members of the Board of Directors along with the members of the Bank’s Shariah Supervisory Council participated in the discussion session and discussed the great life of Bangabandhu and focused on the leadership lessons from his life that can be implemented in relation to finance, banking and related economic activities.

Considering the on-going pandemic situation, the session was conducted virtually and was attended by Mr. Md. Shamsuzzaman, Vice Chairman, Mr. Rezaul Karim, Chairman of the Board Executive Committee, Dr. Kazi Shahidullah, Chairman of the Board Audit Committee, Mr. Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, Chairman of the Board Risk Management Committee, Mr. Master Abul Kashem, Director, Mr. Kazi Omar Zafar, Director, Mr. A.K.M. Badiul Alam, Director, Mrs. Shahnaj Parveen, Director, Mrs. Lutfa Begum, Director, Mr. Hafizur Rahman Sarker, Director, Mr. Abdul Momin Mondol, Director, Dr. Mostafizur Rahman, Director, Mr. Mahbubul Hady Fazle Rab, Independent Director and Mr. Md. Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director & CEO of Midland Bank.

Before the meeting, the Bank arranged “Khatam-Al-Quran” in the Head Office. At the end of the meeting, Munajat seeking divine blessings of Almighty Allah, for the welfare, progress and prosperity of the Bank and the Country as well, which was conducted by Dr. Muhammad Nazrul Islam Al-maruf, Memebr of the Shariah Supervisory Council of was held.

The members of the Senior Management Team, Head of the Divisions and the Head of Branches of the Bank also joined the virtual discussion session.
