Midland Bank organized a discussion session on the life and work of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, marking National Mourning Day 2023.

The honourable members of the Board of Directors, Senior Management Team and Divisional Heads of the Bank participated in the discussion session and extolled the great life of Bangabandhu and focused on the leadership lessons from his life that can be implemented in relation to finance, banking and related economic activities.

The session was conducted both physically and virtually. The honourable members of the Board of Directors and Chairman, Shariah Supervisory Council of the Bank was attended the discussion virtually. Md. Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director & CEO presided over the discussion meeting and delivered the welcome speech on the Life & Work of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, which was held on 16^th August 2023 at the Board room of the Bank’s Head Office at Gulshan, Dhaka. Md. Zahid Hossain, Deputy Managing Director was also present along with Senior Management Team and Divisional Heads of the Bank. At the end of the meeting, ‘Munajat’ was held seeking divine blessings of Almighty Allah, for the welfare, progress and prosperity of the Bank and the Country. Prof. Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, Chairman Shariah Supervisory Council of the Bank conducted the Doa session, seeking ‘Magfirat’ of the departed soul of the Bangabandhu, his family members and all who became shahid on 15^th August 1975.
