As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in education, Midland Bank Limited (MDB) donated BDT 5.00 Lac (Taka Five Lac) to Babutipara Girls High School, located at Muradnagar of Comilla District. Chairman of School Managing Committee Mr. Rafiqual Islam received the cheque at a simple ceremony held on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Bank’s Head Office in Gulshan.

Mr. M Moniruzzaman Khandaker, Chairman of the Bank handed over the Cheque along with Md. Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director & CEO of the Bank.

Babutipara Girls High School is located at PS: Muradnagar, District: Comilla. The school established on 1997. Currently 250 women students are learning in the school for completing their Higher Secondary Education. Midland Bank Limited provided financial assistance to repair academic building, extension of school library, purchase of books for library in keeping with the Bank’s commitment towards improving education facility of the country under Corporate Social Responsibility Programme of the Bank.

Khondoker Nayeemul Kabir, Deputy Managing Director of Midland Bank and Mr. Belal Hossan Sarker, Head Teacher of Babutipara Girls High School were also present on the occasion among other members of both organization.
