As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in education, Midland Bank Limited (MDB) donated BDT 2.00 Lac (Taka Three Lac) to Chand Tara Jame Mosque for renovation works for proper operating the Holy Al-Quran education activity. Mr. Md. Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director of the Bank handed over the Cheque to Mr. Feroz Ahmed, member of the Mosuqe Management Committee at a simple ceremony held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Bank’s Head Office in Gulshan. Khondoker Nayeemul Kabir, Deputy Managing Director of the Bank was also present.

Chand Tara Jame Mosque, built in the year 2000 at Village: Babutipara of Muradnagar Thana, District: Comilla. Currently 250 students of the locality are learning the holy Al-Quran in the Mosque. Earlier, MDB provided financial assistance for Tk. 3.00 Lac to the Mosque for operating the holy Al-Quran education activity, purchase and distributes Al-Quran among the poor students of the Village, in keeping with the Bank’s commitment towards improving education facility of the country under Corporate Social Responsibility Programme of the Bank.

Muhammad H Kafi, Chief Information Officer, Md. Hasanul Haque, Company Secretary of Midland Bank Ltd were also present on the occasion among others.
