Eligibility
  • 18 years and above
  • Any resident Bangladeshi Citizen
  • Individual freelancers who are involved in Export of Software, ICT Services, Business Services, Professional Services, Research Services and Advisory Services, etc. maintaining a CASA account with MDB
  • Freelancer ID from Bangladesh Govt. or Freelancer's Profile Screenshot of the Market place
Availability
  • Only AD (Authorized Dealer) Branches of MDB & others can process the account through AD branch
Account Opening Balance
  • Can be opened with zero balance
Key Benefits
  • No Account Maintenance Fee
  • Non-interest bearing account
  • To receive remittance against freelancing service and keep eligible portion (For software, data entry/processing and other ICT related services 35% and for other than ICT related services 30% of the remittance) in FC in ERQ account. However, ERQ entitlement ratio can be changed by central bank time to time, and as changed, that will be applicable.
  • Rest of the portion of the payment will be transferred to a BDT transactional account

  • Valid NID/Birth Certificate/Valid Passport of applicant and nominee/any other valid documents of account holder and nominee accepted by banks
  • Freelancer ID from Bangladesh Govt. or Freelancer's Profile Screenshot of the Market place
  • Photographs of applicant & nominee
  • Proof of submission of latest tax return; (if applicable)
  • FATCA form, in applicable cases
  • Work Order or Email Communication containing work order of last 3 items worked on must be submitted as proof of his/her source of fund
