A signing ceremony of the Participation Agreement under Refinance Scheme for Ship Building Industry was held on 29th March 2023 between Bangladesh Bank and Midland Bank Ltd. at Bangladesh Bank, Head Office, Motijheel, Dhaka.

Mr. Md. Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director & CEO of Midland Bank Limited and Mr. Md. Nurul Amin, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank signed the agreement on behalf of their organization.

Under this agreement, Midland Bank Limited (MDB) can facilitate its client with low cost long-term financing in the ship building industry to boost up country’s potential in ship building industry as well as diversifying country’s export basket. Mr. A. K. M. Sajedur Rahman Khan – Deputy Governor, Mr. Arief Hossain Khan – Director, Mr. Md. Nazim Uddin – Additional Director, Mr. Muhammed Akhter-Uj-Jaman – Joint Director and Mr. Mahedi Mamun – Deputy Director from Bangladesh Bank and Mr. Mohd. Javed Tareq Khan – SEVP & Head of Institutional Banking Division, Mr. Abu Shahadath Mohammad Shahed – SAVP & Head of Structured Finance Unit, were also present on the occasion.
