Midland Bank PLC. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Axentec PLC, a subsidiary of Robi Axiata, to adopt advanced cloud technology for its data center management and computing needs.

The MoU signing ceremony was held at the Head Office of Midland Bank PLC. in Gulshan-2, Dhaka. Imtiaz U Ahmed, Managing Director & CEO of Midland Bank PLC., and Md. Adil Hossain Noble, Managing Director & CEO of Axentec PLC., signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

Axentec has recently launched the country’s first locally hosted Tier-4 cloud platform, “Axentec Cloud,” marking a significant milestone in Bangladesh’s digital infrastructure landscape. Under this agreement, Midland Bank PLC. will leverage this cutting-edge cloud platform to enhance its operational efficiency, data security, and scalability of its technology infrastructure.

As part of the collaboration, Axentec will facilitate the Bank’s computing and cloud service requirements, enabling Midland Bank to further strengthen its digital transformation journey and deliver improved services to its customers.

Md. Nazmul Huda Sarkar, Deputy Managing Director & CTO of Midland Bank PLC., and Istiaque Ahmed Bhuiyan, Senior General Manager, Advance Networking & Cloud Business of Axentec PLC, were also present at the ceremony, along with other senior officials from both organizations.
