Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) with collaboration of The Association of Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officers of Banks in Bangladesh (AACOBB) organized the Annual Conference for Chief Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officers (CAMLCOs) and Deputy CAMLCOs from 07–09 May 2026 at the Ocean Paradise Hotel & Resort in Cox’s Bazar. This year’s theme was “Strengthening AML/CFT Compliance through Integrity, Governance, Digital Transformation, and Collaboration.”

The event aimed to reinforce Bangladesh’s AML/CFT framework. The Head of BFIU inaugurated the Conference, which convened Managing Directors, Central Bank Officials, and Law Enforcement Agencies to mitigate growing, technology-driven financial risks.

The MD & CEO Mr. Imtiaz U. Ahmed, of Midland Bank attended the Conference, accompanied by the CAMLCO Mr. Zahid Hossain and Deputy CAMLCO Mr. Fazal Abdullah.
