Midland Bank Limited (MDB) signed an agreement with TRANSFAST Remittance LLC, a US based Global Money Transfer Company. Through this arrangement, Midland Bank will be able to disburse remittances from its outlets and Agent Banking Centres sourced through TRANSFAST Remittance LLC. Md Ahsan-uz-Zaman, Managing Director & CEO of Midland Bank and Mr. Samir Vidhate, Director, EMEAA of TRANSFAST Remittance LLC. signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at a simple ceremony held on 05th March 2019 at the Head office of the Bank in Gulshan, Dhaka. TRANSFAST is a service from WyndPay, a leading global payments company with 30 years of operating history, processing 8 billion USD in annual payment volumes and with over 700 employees headquartered in New York City and with offices in Mexico, India, U.A.E and the Philippines, among other locations. Transfast provides easy, secure and cost-effective money transfers to 200+ countries worldwide from thousands of retail agent locations. Mr. Khondkar Towfique Hossain, Head of International Division of Midland Bank and Mohammad Khairuzzaman, Country Head & Head of Operation, Bangladesh of TRANSFAST Remittance LLC. along with other senior officials from both the organizations were also present on the occasion.
