Midland Bank Limited (MDB) collaborated with Placid NK Corporation, a Global Money Transfer Company to establish remittance drawing arrangement fostering seamless and secure cross border fund transfers. Through this arrangement, Midland Bank will be able to disburse remittances from its Branches and Agent Banking Centers sourced through Placid Express.
Md. Ahsan-uz-Zaman, Managing Director & CEO of Midland Bank and Mr. Mohammed Rashid, Director, Placid NK Corporation signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at a simple ceremony held on 03rd August 2023 at the Head office of the Bank in Gulshan, Dhaka.

Currently, Money Transfer services of Placid Express can be enabled from many of the top Money Service Agencies of the United States, Italy and Malaysia. Mr. Khondkar Towfique Hossain, Head of International Division, Nazmul Ahsan, Head of Treasury Division, Nafisa Chowdhury, Head of NRB Banking Unit of Midland Bank and Mr. Faroque Helaly, Bangladesh Country Head of Placid NK Corporation were also present on the occasion.
