Midland Bank organized a virtual discussion session on the life and work of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, marking National Mourning Day 2022.
The honourable members of the Board of Directors participated in the discussion session and extolled the great life of Bangabandhu and focused on the leadership lessons from his life that can be implemented in relation to finance, banking and related economic activities.
The session was conducted virtually and was attended by Mrs. Nilufer Zafarullah, Chairman of the Bank as Chief Guest, Mr. Md. Shamsuzzaman, Vice Chairman, Mr. Rezaul Karim, Chairman of the Board Executive Committee, Dr. Mostafizur Rahman, Director, Mr. Nazimuddin Chowdhury, Independent Director, Md. Kamal Hossain, Sponsor Shareholder of the Bank as Special Guest. Mr. Md. Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director & CEO was also present along with Md. Zahid Hossain, Deputy Managing Director and delivered the welcome speech.
At the end of the meeting, ‘Munajat’ was held seeking divine blessings of Almighty Allah, for the welfare, progress and prosperity of the Bank and the Country. Doa was also held seeking ‘Magfirat’ of the departed soul of the Bangabandhu, his family members and all who became shahid on 15th August 1975.
The members of the Senior Management Team, Head of the Divisions of the Bank also joined the virtual discussion session.
