As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Midland Bank Limited (MDB) donated BDT 2.00 Lac (Taka two lac) to the Bangladesh Alliance for Women Leadership (BDAWL).

Mr. M Moniruzzaman Khandaker, Chairman of the Bank handed over the Cheque along with Md. Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director & CEO to ex-Ambassador Nasim Firdaus, President of BDAWL, at the Bank’s Head Office in Gulshan on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at a simple ceremony. The Bank has contributed this money to BDAWL, which has been working for different activities for the improvement of the women leadership in the country.

Bangladesh Alliance for Women Leadership (BDAWL), a registered Bangladeshi Non-Government Organization (NGO) which was launched on 11 November 2008 to meet the challenge of inequality in decision making at every level of the society with a Vision is to see women take 33 percent of leadership position in Bangladesh by 2015 and 50 percent by 2021. Midland Bank Limited provided financial assistance for bearing the cost of various activities done by BDAWL from the CSR fund of the Bank.

Other officials from both organization was also present on the occasion.
