As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Midland Bank Limited (MDB) donated BDT 2.00 lac as financial assistance to Rangpur City Corporation for health care purpose. Rangpur City Corporation has been facing severe crisis of Rabies Vaccine, which is causing death of many people, especially in the remote areas. To protect from bite of animals like fox, bat, cat, dog, free Rabies Vaccines are being provided by Health Unit of City Corporation. Due to insufficiency of vaccines, many Rabies affected low income group general people, who are residing in remote places, are deprived of receiving this facility.
Considering the scenario, the Bank contributed this financial assistance for health care purposes for supporting the public health activities in the Rangpur City. Md. Rezaul Haque, Head of Rangpur Branch of Midland Bank handed over the cheque to the honourable Mayor of Rangpur City Corporation Md. Mostafizur Rahman (Mostofa) on 02nd October 2023 through a simple ceremony held in the Office of the Mayor of Rangpur City Corporation. Other officials of both the organizations were also present at the time.
