Midland Bank PLC. organized an award giving ceremony on October 8, 2026, at the Lakeshore Hotel, Dhaka, to celebrate the outstanding achievements of employees, of Branch, Sub-Branch and other Business Units.

Imtiaz U. Ahmed, Managing Director of Midland Bank PLC., presented awards to the top performers of the “Shift-to-Save” Home Finance Campaign, “Sanchay Suborno 2026” Deposit Mobilization Campaign. He also distributed a special inducement for Letter of Credit (LC) Business.

The ceremony was attended by Md. Zahid Hossain, Deputy Managing Director & CRO; Md. Nazmul Huda Sarkar, Deputy Managing Director & CTO; and other senior officials of Midland Bank PLC.

The “Shift-to-Save” Home Finance Campaign, which ran from December 1, 2025, to Jun 20, 2026, aimed to strengthen the Bank’s Home Finance portfolio by promoting quality financing under Islamic banking. The campaign specifically focused on Salam Home Finance, Salam Nirman, and Salam Amar Bari, including home finance takeover facilities, and encouraged employees to contribute to sustainable business growth.

The “Sanchay Suborno 2026” Deposit Mobilization Campaign, held from August 1 to 31, 2026, focused on accelerating retail deposit growth through Scheme Deposits, Fixed Deposits, and Current and Savings Accounts (CASA). The campaign achieved remarkable success, mobilizing approximately BDT 270 crore in deposits against a target of BDT 200 crore and opening 10,166 scheme deposit accounts against a target of 10,000.

The Bank also introduced a special LC Business drive for the Branches/Sub-Branches and Institutional Banking Division (IBD) initiated by the Managing Director. Its objective was to achieve an LC volume of USD 25 million within a single month by an individual IBD Unit. Branch, Sub-Branch was also rewarded based on the LC Business performance. This initiative was designed to encourage business units to enhance trade finance activities, strengthen customer relationships, and contribute to the Bank’s overall business growth.

The awards ceremony underscored the Bank’s appreciation for the dedication and achievements of its employees and business units. Through such initiatives, Midland Bank continues to encourage business excellence, strengthen employee motivation, and promote a performance-driven culture to achieve sustainable business growth.
